Send photos of the worst spots ahead of time so the right tools come along — hard-water stains, a greasy range hood or carpet marks are all easier to plan for than to discover.

Booking a move-out to get a deposit back? Schedule it after the last box is gone. Moving in? Before the furniture arrives is the easiest moment to clean inside everything.
